Breakfast Crepes
Crepes are an absolute staple in this house! They are easy to whip us, store easily for a few days in the fridge and very versatile! Use them for a sweet breakfast, savoury lunch or use them in place of wraps for any other recipe! Stuffed crepes – mmmm.
This is our favourite crepe maker you can get on Amazon
Ingredients
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons, melted
Directions
Whisk flour, salt & eggs together. Gradually add in milk & water, stirring to combine. Add melted butter and stir until smooth.
You can use a mixer, handmixer or a rubber spatula to combine the ingredients. I like using a mixer for large batches but for a single batch, a rubber spatula has never let me down.
Use 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup for each crepe. If using the crepe maker, use the wooden dowel to make a circular shape. You can tilt the pan in a circular motion, or you can use a soup ladle or what we would call a flipper to flip the crepe. This part is easy – if you can’t figure out how to flip your crepe, don’t make crepes.
